GTA4 is a very fun game that can easily take hours and hours. It basically does what I have complained about almost the entire PS2 library for. It takes the old games fixes up the graphics(not even particularly well) and presents itself as something new that we should all want. It is a solid port of the newer GTA games basically, which isn't such a bad thing. It also includes some fun online multiplayer games. I've lost hours into this game and really enjoyed it, but also felt that it was nothing new or impressive. I remember back on the psone, I had friends who would play GTA and I would always point out to them syndicate wars, which had a very similar feel but with alot more to do, in my ind a clearly superior game. I have always felt GTA has only kept it's value through trying to be crass and saying things over the top. If things were not presented in such a flashy way it really would not be received so well. Style does count for something and this is a series with tons of it.
