GTA 4 but with cheap meaningless missions, no sense of attachment or fondness for the characters.

EFLC at first glance looked fun and complex, new Guns, vehicles, missions etc although these were all great, the story elements of both TBOGT and TLAD were a random mess and very uninteresting. Most of the missions seemed cheaply thought out, the motives behind the actions were unbelievable, just random unjustified reasons to go kill people.

I diden't feel immersed in the story at all, it was just one long series of random events. GTA has always made great use of cut scenes, but this time the personalities they had to work with resulted in some very monotonous and meaningless rambling.

The worst part is the personalities of both the characters you play as aren't likable and i felt no attachment to them and at some points they irritated me with their cheesy dialogue and image. With no real interest in them or their story i found it hard to play as them.

GAME PLAY:

I diden't like the new Car Physics in this one, GTA IV seemed more realistic and fun.

New guns, especially in TBOGT were fantastic fun to use and sounds were great.

Base jumping off buildings is cool, not something that i enjoy much, but a good additional activity.

MULTIPLAYER :

Death-match and racing modes are quite fun if you can find a game with more than 2 people in it, at the time i was playing there were not many people active.

Server lag is a big hindrance while playing Death-match, even with a fast connection the servers have trouble supplying bandwidth.

Also i have witnessed people cheating usually in the form of speed-hacks in racing mode. Needs to be adressed.

End Verdict:

If you are expecting the same great story, immersion and attachment of GTA IV, then this will disappoint you. If you're just after some mindless killing and rampaging this might suit your taste.

Score of 6.0 from me.
