Excellent Game Marred By Noticable Lack Of Certain Aftermarket Parts For American/European Cars

User Rating: 8.5 | Gran Turismo 2 (Greatest Hits) PS
This is an excellent racing game. I only give this an 8.5 because you can not turbo/super charge any cars made outside of Japan. How ridiculous is that? Apparently Vipers, Corvettes, Mustangs, and all of those European cars, do not have aftermarket turbos. I smell bias towards Japanese automakers by the Japanese developers of this game. With that aside, this game has great race tracks and the license mode from the first game is back and makes you a better driver. The computer AI is good too. There isn't any noticeable rubber-banding in this game as seen in other racing games such as Mario Kart. If you have a lead and continue to have those same consistent lap times, then you will build on that lead. The same goes for falling behind. If you mess up, don't count on the lead car to go any slower. The total number of cars is outstanding. The game makes you want to win all of the special cars too, increasing its re-playability.
