Man, I miss this game.

This game was a first for me. The first game I played with an involved, linear story that I cared about. The first game where I got to be a sniper. The first game I had sex in... and believe me as a young teen that was a pretty important first! (sad as that is) It was also a precursor to a much more recognized game series... GTA. What? You say. Sure Golgo wasn't a sandbox, but nothing was then. It had a variety of gameplay modes, from the 1st person dungeoneering, to side-scroller, to sniping mode, not to mention the sex replenished your health, a cue GTA directly lifted.
I can easily envision a rebirth of Golgo 13 for the next-gens. Sand-box style with a linear mission story but lots of side-missions. His cold demeanor and savvy style could easily eclipse Bond, in my opinion.
The original Golgo 13 was completely innovative and was a joy to replay, as I did, several times. I still have my old copy, collecting dust in a box somewhere. I could never bear to part with it. I really hope someone makes a new one someday.
