The first Golden Sun was one of my very first games for the GBA. When I started playing it, it was a bit shaky, the graphics and all, but soon as the story got more indepth i was getting more addicted, it was instantly one of my favorite and top RPG games. Just when you think it couldn't get any better BAM! The Lost Age comes and proves you wrong. Its an excellent follow up from the first, introducing new characters and monsters with the same familair gameplay that the original Golden Sun followed. It unraveled all the unanswered questions from the first, and further expand to it. Tons of great dungeons, creatures, bosses. Great new summons and djinnis. The graphics and sounds are mediocre but that doesnt really affect the gameplay... like at all. The story again is just amazing, it keeps you guessing throughout the game and pushes you to keep playing, and every now and then they surprise you with a little twist. It takes around a good 20-30 hours to complete the game, but if your aiming for a 100%, it might take a bit more time. It has tons of hidden/secret features that only true RPG strategist gamers can find. There are tons of cities, weapons, armors, and a huge map to explore. The only flaw in this game that I would point out is that the map is too large, and it gets quite tedious and annoying having to travel around. Also, because of the story it almost makes you feel like...OK the original Golden Sun was pointless. It allowed you miss the original Golden Sun characters, and YAY! they came back, and then you would have to debate whose better GS1 or GS2. All and All superb game for the GBA, it is one of the GBAs best games, and if not one of the best in the RPG universe. Any RPG fan or GBA owner would be dumb to turn this game down. I would say it is good enough to rival if not tops the old 2D Final Fantasies (1-6).
