Solid enough for some enjoyment, though certainly not the best game out there.

Story (7/10)
The story picks up directly after the first Golden Sun. You begin the game in control of Jenna, Felix, Sheba and Kraden, who fell from the lighthouse at the end of the first game. They continue their quest to light all four lighthouses.

The story itself is very good. The flaw is in its application. To begin with, it takes forever to pick up. The first 20 hours of the game at least are virtually storyless. Even after the story picks up, however, it is not used much in the dungeons or even in some villages. Because of this it is easy to get lost in the game, especially if you set it down for a couple of days and don't remember where you are at.

Gameplay (8/10)
The gameplay is exactly the same as the first, with the addition of some new Djinni, summons and spells. The battle system is the same as well.

Graphics (9/10)
The graphics are almost 3D but not quite. I was incredibly impressed with the animations.
