The only thing i can say about God of War I is "wow"
so here are the scores:
graphics: 10?10 when you are looking at the graphics 2009 it gets a 5.0 but if you are looking at them c ompared to 2005"s graphical tech nology it gets a perfect score.Well designed levels and areas, fluid animation awesome weapon and magic design.
gameplay 10/10.the hack and slash action gameplay is oustanding because it has been never perfected before and never been done this good before.what could a fan of blood gore and cruelty ask for more:pulling enemies' heads off and even there eyes out and there is an additional mini sex game where you score with a couple of girls but they could have made them hotter that would be cool.in addition the game requires your to pull and turn hadles using the r2 button that may annoy at times but overall it's acceptable.puzzles as l said before are a great challange and are very well designed(ps i don't understand how kratos this cruel mortal has patience to solve puzzles) .god of war gameplay=puzzles gore blood and sex
Sounds 10/10 incredible sound effects each weapon feels just right and sound effects objects and meterial are perfected like no other.
story 9.5/10 the story line could have been deeper but it is presented in an amzing way."warning spoilers" you start off as kratos is comitting suicide by jumping on the highest mountain in all of olympus into the asian sea to rid himself from the nightmares of his past.the game starts off in flashbacks.first you start off in a boat fighting wierd looking beasts.kratos a leader off a squad in the spartan army when he was about to be defeated by the barbarian he sacrificed his soul to ares the god of war in favour that ares destroys the persian army.well kratos became servant to the god of war so ares gives him unbelievable power and the blades of choes attached to his hands.but then kratos seeks revenge because ares fooled in killing his own family.in his quest he seeks pandora's box in order to kill ares.but the command of killing ares was first issued by the goddess athena in return he wanted the god to rid him from the nightmares of his past.kratos succeeds in killing ares but he was informed by the god that they can't rid him because of his cruelty.then we get back to the bigining of the game where kratos is committing suicide.but then athena saves him and puts him as the new god of war and gives him an altentaive weapon the blades of athena.
i wish jaffe could work on the forth installement god of war 3.god of war is simply one of the best franchises in all of video game history
