God of War II is a great polish of the original.Worth every penny.
Story 8/10
The story is actually quite similar to God of War I when you think about it but it's presented much better.The story for the game is that Kratos although has become a god has not been freed from his nightmares about his family that he murdered.So Kratos being the vengeful bastard that he is.Has his spartan army go to Rhodes and rain fire on the city.This angers the god's so Zeus first makes the statue of Rhodes attack Kratos,then hi tricks him into putting all of his godly powers into The Blade of Olympus,then he kills him with the blade.But right as Kratos is about to die,Gaia one of the Titans revives Kratos,he escapes from hell and is of to find the Sisters of Fate to go back in time to kill Zeus and acquire the Blade that stores his powers so that he can kill Zeus and the other gods and on the way he meets some new friend's and old enemy's.Holy **** that was a mouthfull.The story is even more epic than the original and is just all around awesome.
Presentation & Sound 8/10
The graphics look even better than before and so do the prerendered cutscenes but the blood effects STILL suck!What is up with that?The framerates are still consistent and run smoothly as ever.And musical score is fantastic and every track makes me want to stand up on the sofa and scream "**** Yeah!".The voice acting must be mentioned for it is like God Himself decended from heaven and spoke to my ears,Gaia also get's a special mention for her voice actor nailed it.And lastly the enviroments are amazing give you a huge sense of scale on the levels awesome so high that even Valhalla would be jealous!
Gameplay 10/10
Perfection!This game takes everything that made God of War I's gameplay and perfects it.Pretty much everything is the same,the smooth and fast-paced combat,the awesome puzzles and this game also fixes the only thing that was bad about the gameplay and gives us a f***load of bosses that are varied and fun to fight.Just amazing.

Just pure awesome.This is a great game for anyone who loves action-adventure.My personal favorite game from the series and it will probably stay that way for a while.
