It's not very often you get a PSP game like this, so if you happen to own a PSP then Chains of Olympus is a must.

User Rating: 8.5 | God of War: Chains of Olympus PSP
It was almost impossible that this game would be bad. It's not the first time a legendary console game has gone portable, and it's certainly a risk.
take Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines for instance.
That was good for a rental but nothing more. Well, thankfully Chains of Olympus is no disappointment. Kratos is as violent and chaotic as ever and the gameplay is up to strength, although of course there are things that are missing and stripped down.
You can't NOT expect things like this though, God of War delivers anyway.
As you would expect the combat is awesome! Square for quick light attacks, traingle for slow heavy attacks. These can sometimes be linked to combos. And then there are a variety of special abilities and magic although admittedly the variety is smaller.
It sounds very simple, but it is extremely fun. It's a hack 'n slash anyway so its not meant to complicated.
I haven't played it in a while but from what I remember the abilities and magic that were available were fun and useful and I never remember being dissapointed with them.
The graphics are spectacular as well. The best you can get on a PSP, they might have even surpassed those on the PS2! They are that good.
The story is also pretty epic but not AS epic. It's like the console game stories were big and epic and then the portable story is much smaller.
It's still engaging though and progresses the violence well.
The puzzles aren't as abundant as they were in console additions but I prefer this anyway. Some people wont however, and will complain. It wasn't a major problem in my books. One major complaint though is the length.
Why cant it be longer? It's only about less than 10 hours long.
Bosses are back, and make no mistake they are huge. But again, there aren't as many and they are not as huge.
The button mashing mini games are back too, they work fine to say the least.
And yes, the sex mini game is back as well.
In the end, God of War: Chains of Olympus does almost nothing different, but is that really a bad thing? Extremely bloody violence and sex are plentiful in this game and if you liked the console versions then you will love this too, even if you havent played the console additions. It's easily one of the best PSP games out there and is an absolute must.
