Well, well, well... What have we got here...
The story is about some cop named Lazarus which was investigating a case together with his partner Steele. From the beginning of the game we can observe that our main hero has a sexual attraction to his female partner quoting : "She likes me... She really likes me!", with a big smile on his face! Anyway, these cops are sent to a school where it seems that some students and teachers have been experiencing some paranormal activities. For example voices. When they get to the school, our team splits up, as for Steele goes exploring the second floor and Lazarus the basement. Here, Lazarus finds a huge computer and some strange devices plus one attractive button which Lazarus , of courses, presses... This button seemed to have opened one particular kinda door, which would let the ghosts free!!! Yeah! This is the reason of which Lazarus is sent by the huge computer to capture the ghosts...
The story may seem pretty stupid, but it isn't. It actually makes you care for the main characters! And let me tell you that those type of games are rare!
Let's get to the graphics! Wonderful!! Gorgeus!! Beautiful! For 2004 , let me tell you that these were some of the most impressive graphics ever! I mean.. For a PS2 game, the graphics make the game look like a PS3 one! They're that good!
The sound design may not be that great, but still it keeps a scary atmosphere And that's what you want from a horror action adventure game. Well almost... This game doesn't feel too scary... It feels more like an action adventure game... I actually find this game an inspiration for a great game! Resident Evil 4! And that's just great!!! Wait... It's not great... IT'S AWESOME!!!!!
Overall, Ghosthunter is a great game! It may not be perfect, but it's still a wonderful, beautifully-designed game! Try it! If not then die!!!
