Okay if you'r a fan
The history of the series is this. In 1997 a manga was created by Shiro Masume. It became very popular and was turned into a sci-fi movie that year. The movie sucked. So then in 2001 a anime series was launched and became as much a classic as .hack or inuyasha. After the legendary first 26 episode season a spinoff series was created called Ghost in the shell stand alone complex 2nd gig which is basically the second season of the series. While S.A.C. was more symbolis 2nd GIG was more cyberpunk so it caught to major fan bases. Plans are being made to make a anime version of the original sci-Fi movie adapted to the S.A.C. world. This game really dosn't live up to a fans expectations {do anime games ever}. I'lllist pros and cons because I know if you play video games or watch tv you want things fast.
PROS
1.First game based off the series not tthe sci fi movie
2 Play as Major Motoko Kusanagi, Bousutai Batou and the mini thing tanks Tachkomas.
3.At parts reminds you greatly of watching the show.
4.Really good cinamatics at the beggining and end of a level. 5.S.A.C. voice cast not the sci fi movie or cheap replacements.
CONS
1.Seems out dated because of the time it takes to get to american developers.
2.Gameplay is at best lacking.
3.No AI alies to team up with. It makes it seem like One woman versus the army.
4.Very short {Possibly the shortest I have ever played}.
5.They should have used Cell Shading.
6.Story is hard to follow because Ishikawa is feeding it to you on your cybercom while your fighting large groups of enemies.
At least if you'r a fan buy it used from EB games for 10$ otherwise if you don't know the anime or sci fi movie stay away from it at all costs.
