A great 3rd person shooter expecially for those Ghost in the shell, anime and manga fans

User Rating: 8.5 | Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex PS2
The second game from the ghost in the shell series and actually my 1st game in the series so I had high hopes for it, I am a ghost in the shell fan so I'm going try and not be bias.

Gameplay- The game takes part in between Ghost in the shell stand alone complex and Ghost in the shell 2nd Gig. You take control of Motoko the main character of the series, Bato and a tachikoma through the game.

Motoko has the majority of the missions and playtime in the game so you'll mainly be fighting as her. Motoko's levels tend me more acrobatically, with alot of movement and jumping up buildings, as well as fighting enemies with guns and you physically. The other power Motoko has it that in the game you are able to hack people's cyber brains. Doing this will let you control enemies for a certain time or until they die, for example you can hack an enemy who is at the top of a sniper tower, you can hack there mind and destroy the snipers from their position without having to go out in the open and getting shot. Motoko's gameplay can be quiet fiddly at some points in the game especially on the 1st level as you are new to it but it comes together in time.

Bato's missions involve heavy fighting, you'll be running around as Bato doing some heavy fighting with guns, there's no acrobatics just gun fighting. Tachikoma only gets one level which is like a destruction derby kind of level having to go around a pit fighting enemies.

The game plays very well and isn't too hard there are a few bits that are quiet difficult as motoko having to some jumping but besides that its pretty simple. The storyline isn't half bad and is very much like the ghost in the shell series.

There is some local multiplayer as well which I have played a few times, which is kind of fun, but nothing you would especially play for hours.

Graphics- The graphics are not bad at all considering its a PS2 game, there are alot of good visuals and the there aren't many rough bits in the game, the cut scenes also have good graphics.

Sound- I actually like the music in this game but the sound and voice acting is also very good.

Replayabilty- The game offers 3 difficulties, so once you have finished it you can go back and try a harder difficulty. there are also weapons you can unlock to use at the start of each level which have to unlocked and paper fans to find in each level.

Summary- This is one of my favourite PS2 games and I've enjoyed playing it alot. Its a great game for you ghost in the shell fan it can be seen as an extra episode. The same goes for those 3rd person, anime and manga fans out there.

+ Great graphics
+ Good voice acting and sound
