Last week, Nintendo announced its virtual console lineup will be spangled with Star Wars classic games in the coming weeks. Although the last download update included Super Nintendo hit Super Star Wars, the sci-fi series is conspicuously absent from this week's slate. Instead, gamers can now pick up to two new games each for the Wii and DSi, with The Revenge of Shinobi on the Virtual Console.

Published by Sega for its Genesis platform in 1989, The Revenge of Shinobi is the sequel to the 1987 arcade game Shinobi. As the titular ninja, players traverse bamboo forests and modern cityscapes, using shurikens and a katana to vanquish their enemies. The title costs 800 Wii points or $8.
For the Wii, Picture Book Games: Pop-Up Pursuit is a family-friendly board game that costs 800 Wii points or $8. As the title partly suggests, the board game takes place in a pop-up picture book, and contestants use cards and coins rather than roll dice. The other WiiWare game, Family Slot Car Racing, features three racing circuits, each with multiple tracks. For 500 Wii points ($5), gamers can choose among several slot cars and race alone or against another player.
Meanwhile, DSi owners can download Gameloft's Guitar Rock Tour for 500 DSi points ($5). As a drummer or guitarist, players tap the touch screen and press buttons to match the beat of recent and classic hit songs. The same 500 DSi points could also be used to purchase Nintendo's Brain Age Express: Sudoku. The game has three different skill levels and the franchise's signature Brain Age scoring system.
