The first game to truly show the power of the Xbox 360.
When I started up this game my first thought was about how great the game looks. The graphics in the game could literally compete with any 360 game released today. The developers really did a great job utilizing the strengths of the console.
The gameplay seems to be spot on. It is a little simplistic, but that seems to work perfectly considering the action the game provides. It is fairly satisfying is find cover then pick off baddies by popping up and down.
The story provides a great backdrop for the solid gameplay. I find the characters enjoyable, and I genuinely wanted to see the story play through all the way to the end. However, I felt the game was considerably short. Adding another chapter or two of gameplay would have made it much better.
Overall, this is a great game that has spawned a great sequel. This seems to be one of the best franchises for this generation. Hopefully, the developers keep up the great tradition this game has created.
