An improvment over the first game but still not as great as people think it is.
The game has many improvement over the last game which is: the campaign is less repetitive , highly improved graphics, the Co-op mode is even better than the first game, have a better vehicle controls, better level design, new weapons, your friends will be able to resurrect you, and better concentration on the story-line.
however there is still some flaws in the game, the story-lining has gotten better but still not that good, there is still many plot holes in the story and there still character who lack some character development (like Braid) , and why you had to kill carmine ? he was the most likable character of all the gears cast , he was going to be a great addition and you have killed him off, and how about scene with Dom and his dieing wife ,the creators have tried to make us sympathy with but the plot holes makes that sympathy hard for me, like what the hell actually happened to her? did theycorrupt her or did they planted some locaust cells in her ? and why the hell she was fine when she was inside and suddenly she became corrupted while outside, why did she leave the safe place ? what happened to their children ? where are they ? why did she leave her children (because Dom actually has an excuse) . And how about the main character's father Adam phoenix? what happened to him ? why his son Marcus is being hated because of him ?. and there is a lot of flaws is the story (but not as flaw full as the first Gears of war).
and enough about the story, lets get back to the game itself, the Boss fights are really disappointing why ? because it's just too easy, the last boss fight will only take like 20 seconds at maximum., and the multiplayer is disappointing, the Melee still have the advantage.
so this is Gears of war 2, it's better than Gear of war 1 but still not the best Xbox exclusive as some may say .
