E3 06: Turok headlines BVG's E3 lineup

The House of Mouse will show the comic-based dinosaur hunter's return and two new Wii titles as part of its slate of games for the expo.

LOS ANGELES--Buena Vista Games (BVG) today pulled the wraps off its lineup for this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo, calling it the "largest and most diverse" collection of games the Disney interactive entertainment division has ever shown at E3.

While many of the titles have been recently announced and promoted by the developer (four new puzzle games, the Desperate Housewives game), there are still a few surprises. The biggest title on the list, Turok, was confirmed to be underway a year ago but hasn't been heard from since September, and even then it wasn't known what platforms would host the game. Now BVG has confirmed the story-driven first-person shooter is in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and set for a 2007 release.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 aren't the only next-gen consoles receiving attention from BVG. The publisher is also prepping a pair of games that will have versions appear on the Nintendo Wii, as well. Disney's Meet the Robinsons and Disney's Chicken Little: Ace in Action will both appear on the Wii, in addition to other current consoles. The full list of the company's announced lineup for the show follows below.

Turok uno on 64 was pimp....... T2 wasnt bad........all the others, not so good. It hasnt been treated like a top notch, high priority property since the first two. It could be great again with a little care and effort. Make it so!

Quit hating on the new Turok. Its not even developed by the makers of the old games when Acclaim published them.

Wasn't Turok rumored to be revived on the Wii? Doesn't look like that's happening now....

I always liked the first Turok game and remember it being one of the first shooters I ever played where the enemies reacted differently (and realistically) depending on where you shot 'em, e.g. a guy would grasp his neck and struggle for air if you shot him in the neck, etc.

As for the disney coments it doesn't matter how many there are if you don't like them don't buy them. As for nintendo needing there first party titles to be solid to launch the wii, When aren't nintendo games solid gold. It doesn't matter what games they have on launch anyway as long as the online downloads are up and runing you will have 5000 games to play right off the bat.
