A great game to play with a friend. It's a bit repetitive, but hey, it's Gauntlet!

Alright, before I get any deeper in, let's go ahead and get this out of the way.....

Yes, this game is pretty repetitive, and yes it's simple hack and slash.....

BUT IT'S FREAKIN' GAUNLET, WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING?! lol

Honestly, I have a lot of fun with this game. Granted, playing alone can be pretty boring, but add a friend to race through the levels with and you've got a solid gaming experience for the night.

When this game first came out, I rented it and my friend and I stayed up till 5 in the morning beating it together (I think we started playing at around 10 or 11 at night) and we had a blast.....

Like any other gauntlet game, half the fun is racing your friends to the treasures and items, and getting more kills than them, and without this element, the games wouldn't be nearly as good, but as long as you have friends to play with, go for it!

However, if you're playing alone, you may want to pass on this as it can be a bit tiring if it's not normally your thing.

Bottom line: it's not the best, but it's still far from the worst. I give it an 8 if you're playing with friends, and a 5 if you're playing alone....
