Gangs of London tries to be a GTA clone except taking place in the city of London. However, is it worth the dough?
The game had major potential, London is a great setting for this game but the developers designed a lousy version, even the key areas look ancient and very shabby. All the streets look almost the same, just varied with some different colors. Speaking of colors, this game has a dark color palette being used which does add a tone of city-like atmosphere but doesn't really work well with the choppy graphics and boring missions.
Gangs of London would've been so much better if the game actually decided to take place in more varied locations. Instead, there are tiring gunfights on bland streets and the cars look like toys. The audio is poor, and some of the voice acting is not of a satisfactory quality. They do not expose any tone of emotions which makes the game feel like Microsoft Sam narrated it.
The plot is very basic and is a true bore to progress through.
The terrible graphics and occasional frame-rate rises somewhat tend to make the game a bit better. The graphics are truly disgusting. They look so awful, the faces of characters have no features at all, it just looks all blurry like a pile of pixels just overlapping each other with crap colors used for the clothing. All the characters look the same and everything is uninspired. The game is really long but nothing in the game is fun, no good missions, and luckily the missions are short, who'd wanna go through long-ass, crap missions.
The graphics are terrible. Audio work is somewhat decent although the gun sounds and voice acting can be improved. Variety of characters would be nice and if the characters could actually HAVE blasted face, that'd be damn good!
There are so many mess-ups in this game that's not worthy of rental nor purchase. The game is still being sold at incredibly high prices even when the game fails.
Avoid it at all costs.
