Different Menu Music
While you are in the Menu, which says ''Normal Mode,'' and ''Puzzle Mode'' wait for a few seconds. After waiting you will then hear some classic Arcade Pac-Man music.

Start Normal Mode at higher difficulties
At the difficulty screen in Normal Mode, hold right and select "Hyper" to start at level 300 or hold right and down (highlight the "Hard" difficulty first to do so) and select "Hyper" to start at level 900.

Manually discard a fairy
Similar to placing a fairy at the bottom of the field, you can discard one by your own and get bonus points if you don't have free space in any column. When you get a fairy, hold up and press B.

Give Up on Puzzle Mode Stage
Press and hold the START and SELECT Buttons when playing any of the ''Puzzle Mode'' Stages to give up on the current Stage.

Appendix mode
On the main menu, select Puzzle Mode while holding right. The pop-up menu will appear in a higher position than usual (or an "Appendix" graphic will appear in the case of later rereleases based on this version), confirming the cheat's activation. In this mode, clusters are always fixed rather than randomized and there are fewer Pac-Man's available for most stages.

High Score Name Generator
Entering 6 dots as your name for High Score In "Pac Attack" random generates many names, game titles and even Japanese Civil War mentions.
During the Highscore table after game over (if you reach a new high score), and when you are able to enter a 6 character name, enter six periods. Use UP and DOWN directions to cycle characters and select the "."
". . . . . ." this generates names like DRUAGA, another Bandai Namco title, and GENPEI an historical Civil War along with many more. All the player needs to do is enter six dots as their name during the High Score screen when prompted after reaching a new high score.Contributed by: Subl1me89vision
