A must have final expansion if you liked Galactic Civilizations II, and Dark Avatar.
I was fairly impressed by the additions added to Dark Avatar, so that expansion struck me as a tough act for Twilight of the Arnor to follow. Still, even though I wouldn't call any of Twilight's additions and tweaks "ear... Read Full Review

Dark Avatar fixes most of my problems with Galactic Civilizations II.
Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar, being an expansion, needs no in depth introduction. Despite being only an expansion, though; Dark Avatar comes packed with a lot of tweaks, and new features to keep players interes... Read Full Review

I'm rarely able to get into 4X games, but Galactic Civilizations II is just plain brilliant.
I've played many 4X games, the Civilizations, and Master of Orion to name a few... but none of them really sucked me in. Galactic Civilizations II presents a satisfying strategy experience with deep gameplay, and a lot o... Read Full Review

Well worth the wait. No excuses, buy it now.
I debated buying this game after having bought Gal Civ, the original game, because I was afraid that it too would be fun for a short while then turn boring as did the original game. However I have been playing it now fo... Read Full Review

Yet another brilliant expansion to an already phenomenal game.
Think back about 2 years, remember the release of what I regard as one of the best 4X TBS, or maybe even one of the best games of all time. Galactic Civilizations 2: Dread Lords. It was the game from StarDock that came b... Read Full Review

A solid space strategy game with a surprising amount of depth.
My first foray through Gal Civ 2 was a bit disappointing. While I thought I had finally gotten the pace of the game and was just supposed to be disappointed with things like how long it takes to get decent ships, I quic... Read Full Review

Looks like Alpha Centauri in space to me!
Ever played Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri? Well, Galactic Civilizations 2 feels like a cheap new imitation of it. I don't understand why gamespot gave this game such a high score. It reflects the old Sid Meiers game in absol... Read Full Review

Several hours of my life - GONE!
- And I'd do it all again (in fact I have). For many, this game falls into the category of "hidden gems", but no real turn-based strategy gamer needs any introduction. I'm a big fan of turn-based strategy games (CIVs b... Read Full Review
