Just awesome
This is a one-of-a-kind RPG. Origins is waaaaay different. Both are probably two of the most unique RPGs I have ever played. Though the battles are not as fast-paced as the prequel, they still require a strategic mind... Read Full Review

Every RPG fan should play Baten Kaitos. Period.
It's actually been about a year since I beat Baten Kaitos, and since then I've traded in my Gamecube for an Xbox 360. What prompted me to write this review and show my love of Baten Kaitos was actually the Eternal Sonata... Read Full Review

Possibly the best-ever RPG to hit the Gamecube.
Baten Kaitos is a unique RPG for the 'Cube, and possibly one of its best. The story of Baten Kaitos takes place in the future, where islands float in the sky, and the ocean is a myth of the past. There once was a wick... Read Full Review

Oh Baten Kaitos, you are the Gamecube's underrated saving grace...
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and The Lost Ocean (BK:EWATLO to save time) is probably the lovechild of an RPG and a card game. That doesn't nessicarily make it bad, though. As much as I loathe card games, and the fact that... Read Full Review

Sounds interesting, but how does it hold up?
This game sounds like it would be absolutely amazing. The trailer blew me away, and I had to get it. Yet, unlike the trailer led to believe, the only CGI Animation is before the menu screen comes up. This disappointed... Read Full Review

Just a great game! Gamers who hated the battle system never tried to master it.
In Europe this game is often one of the last games on the GC shelves. Nintendo marketing is already quite bad on these shores, but Baten Kaitos just didn't really get any attention at all. Hence, picking this game up wi... Read Full Review

A prime example of how NOT to innovate. EXTREAMLY overrated.
By now most people would have seen the prequel to Baten Kaitos and you may be considering picking this up to continue the story from that game. If you enjoyed that game, feel free to pick up this one. However, if you a... Read Full Review

A masterpiece of game that will keep you entertained for many long hours.
I skipped out on playing Baten Kaitos when it was released because the idea of a card based fighting system reminded me of games like the Yu-Gi-Oh series. However approximately two years later, looking for a game to play... Read Full Review

Baten Kaitos is a decent RPG and a must play for any fan of the genre and Gamecube owner; I wish there were more like it
This game was strange for me. The gameplay presents one of the most amazing and innovative systems I've seen drawing upon common systems (elemental, card based, combos) but implementing them all in a way that will make y... Read Full Review

Good modern RPG with many tradtional traits
When Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean (Baten Kaitos for the rest of this review) was released, I found myself having some reservations about purchasing the game after reading some information about it from ... Read Full Review
