A camera for a GameBoy what will they think of next ??
And at the time it was all the rage to have a camera for your Game Boy.The Game Boy camera was first released for the Game Boy Pocket,then later released for the Game Boy Colour.The Game Boy Camera consistes on three main things.The Camera (obviously) the games and the scrapbook.
Even thought the Game Boy Camera is a black and white camera in 1999 there wasnt much choose.It was eather that or draw on a piece of A4 paper.
The first thing you can do on the Game Boy Camera is take pictures (obviously).There are multiple effects you can activate on the camera which will alter the picture.There is also a self timer on the camera incase you want to take a picture of something with you in it.
Another thing you can do with the camera is once you have taken a picture you can alter it in the scrapbook.
(in other words you can give your mum a mustache).
The scrapbook is the place were you can view all the pictures you have taken.Or like i said before give your Mum a mustache.It is also the place were you can view all of your pictures in a clip show.And if your a mario fan you can add mario him self you one of you pictures.Then tell all of your friends you met mario him self.
(other charecters include pokemon and Mario charecters).
The games on this Game Boy camera are all the most famouse arcade games in 1999.And all your Highscores will be recorded in the record room.But instead of going
down to your local arcade and paying 50 pence per game,just stay at home and turn on your Game Boy camera and play three of the best for free.
(games include Space impact,Pro DJ and Run run run)
The presentation on this game are decent enough the idea of making a camera for the Game Boy is ingenious.But next time please make it colour.
The Graphics on this game need to be improved so that if you take a picture of your pet dog it wont look like a picture of your dad.
And the sound on this game/cameram are good enough theres sound effects when your taking a picture and thres music on the main menu and in the scrapbook.And when your playing a game the sounds of your gun shooting or the sound of you being a DJ are pretty darn decent.But beware when your playing Run Run Run its imposible to beat
the bird.
CLOSING COMMENTS
To put it one way some people like it and some people hate it personally i am smack in the middle. But it has had its time in my GameBoy because i used to take it to school and mess around mith my mates on days were we were allowed to take in electronics. And we had a right good time. Like when we used to take pictures of our teacher and alter it with the camera so in the end she had devil horns and a beard. But i advise you chech it out before you buy it. But you could pick it up for a decent price in a bargain bin!!
