If you enjoyed Gallop Racer 2003 then you'll like this edition. Definately for racing fans only. Does take time to learn. Much better than the 2004 edition. Better quality characters, not so sleazy looking. Loads of unique horses to race, dozens of tracks to try to race on. Wagering still has a way to go for improvements. This game lacks an intuitive interface which can add to the high learning curve. Only dedicated racing fans may find this enjoyable. This is also a hard game to find, but if you can locate the Gallop Racer 2003 you'll be fine since Tecmo didn't really take great care to refine the presentation . Tecmo only rearranged past components. Horses themselves look realistic. Better graphics then the 2003 edition. I didn't like the 2004 edition at all. This edition lacks some of the friendliness in the tutorials section from the 2003 edition. I recommend this game for those die hard fans of previous Gallop Racer games. For those new to the franchise and curious, pick up the 2003 edition from ebay.
