On Sunday, October 30th, the Raw brand-exclusive event, Hell in a Cell, comes to PPV and the WWE Network. This year, WWE is boasting three main events, which means three matches will take place completely enclosed in the cell. This is also the first time that the Women's Championship will be defended in the Cell as well. Here are the matches we can expect to see on the PPV and our predictions.
Big Cass & Enzo Amore vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
Recently, Big Cass & Enzo Amore have gotten into a feud with Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, who have been jumping around the tag team division since their split with AJ Styles. They haven't seem to have found their place yet, but this upcoming match could change that. The rivalry between the two teams is still new, but this could be the start of something big.
Gallows & Anderson have been on a bit of a losing streak, so we're thinking that they'll end up getting the win here. Hopefully, this feud continues for a few months, as it's still new, and it would be dumb to end it now, especially when both teams have such a strong following.
Our Prediction: Gallows & Anderson win.
TJ Perkins (c) vs. Brian Kendrick
(For the WWE Cruiserweight Championship)
Once again, TJ Perkins will be taking on THE Brian Kendrick for the Cruiserweight Championship. Over the past few weeks, we've seen quite a few promos between the two characters, building on the rivalry.
It hasn't really been resonating with fans. We get it. Perkins likes nerdy things, and Kendrick is unbalanced. Anyway, they'll be fighting again for the Cruiserweight Championship.
While the introduction of the Cruiserweight division was a great move, we've only seen these two battle it out on Raw, with everyone else hanging around in NXT. We're thinking to make this rivalry worth watching, Kendrick has to win the title. Raw has so much going on right now, and the Cruiserweight division needs to be shaken up a bit.
Our Prediction: THE Brian Kendrick wins dirty.
(For the Raw Tag Team Championship)
Cesaro and Sheamus had a best of 7 series which resulted in a tie, so the two were shoved together as a tag team. The duo isn't working incredibly well as a team, so they really need to get their act together for Hell in a Cell. Then, there's the New Day, and they're closing in on Demolition's 478 day record for holding those belts.
With how much the commentators are talking about Demolition's longest reign as Tag Team champions, we're thinking that The New Day will retain the belts, since they're less than two months away from beating that record. Yes, we predicted them to lose in the past two PPVs, but this time, we're sure we got this one right.
Our Prediction: New Day wins dirty.
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Rusev (Hell in a Cell Match)
(For the United States Championship)
The feud between Roman Reigns and Rusev started out pretty weak, but it's gained some steam and won a lot of people over. The United States Championship may not be back to the level it was at when John Cena was defending it every week, but it's on its way. The competition between the two is getting pretty brutal. Both men are putting it all on the line, every week, and putting the two of them into a Hell in a Cell match is going to create some real chaos (well, controlled chaos).
Maybe it's because Roman Reigns as champ never clicked with us or maybe it's because Rusev's new facial hair has him looking like Abraham Lincoln as a power-lifter, but we're giving this match to Rusev. The guy is an awesome United States champion, and we're thinking that Lana will help him out with the win.
Our Prediction: Rusev wins the belt with help from Lana.
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Seth Rollins (Hell in a Cell Match)
(For the Universal Championship)
For the past month, Seth Rollins has been trying to drive a stake into the relationship between WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens and list-creator Chris Jericho. He's doing this in order to get under Owens' skin and to make sure Jericho keeps out of the upcoming Hell in a Cell match. It may actually be working, and Rollins may have a fair shot at getting the title.
As much as we want to see Owens retain the title, since he's been an entertaining champ thus far, we see this going Rollins' way. However, we think that Rollins will get the win after Jericho turns on Owens. The tension between the two has been building, and this moment should happen sooner rather than later.
Our Prediction: Rollins wins with the help of Owens' best friend, Chris Jericho. In addition, Triple H or Stephanie McMahon tries to help Owens and fails.
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte (Hell in a Cell Match)
(For the Raw Women's Championship)
Finally, there's Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte, one of the three main events for the evening because according to WWE, half of their matches for this PPV are the main event. For the first time, two women will step into the Hell in a Cell. The rivalry between Sasha and Charlotte has been on fire for the past couple of months, and this match should be a huge one.
No matter who wins this match, it's an even bigger win for fans since both of these stars put on some incredible matches together. However, when it comes down to it, we think Sasha is going to retain the title, and this rivalry will continue up to Survivor Series. Both women are great champions, and maybe it's our fanaticism, but Sasha is just a more entertaining champion.
Our Prediction: Sasha Banks retains her title.
