How can they do this to Dune?!
The graphics are just ugly, it's the ugliest game I've ever seen on the PS2. The characters don't look human and it's just boring to watch the scenery. The controls are bad, especially the camera, it just doesn't work. And there's supposed to be stealth elements in the game, but damn, the camera just doesn't help in that department. Overall, it's just boring, the levels lack any excitement, it's just walking around and killing a few enemies. I didn't finish the game, but from what I've heard, it's also quite short.
But the thing that really pissed me off the most was the title. FRANK HERBERT'S DUNE... how could they do that?! Dune is one the great classics and they dare to exploit like this. And the worst part? If you've never heard of Dune, the game just gives you no idea what Dune is about. There's characters with the right names, but do they explain anything about them? Or anything about the Dune universe? HELL NO! Maybe the game designers just got this really stupid idea: "hey, we got this crappy game that nobody is going to buy. Let's just change some things and name it after something big, like Dune". *sigh* If there's any justice in the world, the creators of this game will be devoured by great sandworms. Or maybe not, that's way too quick and painless.
