Some aspects better than GT5, Some worse.

Reviewing this game is very easy as there is not a great deal of difference between this, forza 3, or forza 2. All the good things are still here. The car handling and general feel of the game are near perfect. The sounds are still unbeatable. The menu system is simple and free from any GT elevator jazz. The car tuning system is still excellent. The auction house and car design features are still good for hours of fun. The new Autovista mode is jawdropping, and something all lovers of cars should get to see. Also the Rivals mode is a welcome addition.

This is all great stuff, but its not enough. As usual, owners of this series are going to be screwed for every car they could not be bothered to include in the origional discs, and call it dlc, great! The game probably has more bugs in it than it has cars, many cars have sections on them which can not be covered by a decal (understandable if we are talking about a windshield or door handle), but not in the case of a section of wing above a wheel arch only on one side! Add to this, due to messed up graphic coordinates on the open cockpit R1 cars, they are probably easier to paint in real life, blindfolded and with nail varnish.
The reluctance of turn 10 to address the many problems in this game is also a concern. I have been on the recieving end of an absolute cracker, Upon visiting the online section of the game I was awarded with just under a billion credits, I with many other people tried to get an answer, to no avail as turn 10 were busy knocking out their latest dlc. In the end the save game file had to be deleted!

For the 3rd time in succession we have a small number of tracks. They might bang on about the odd new track introduced here and there in the series like normal, but this is easy to see through. what they give with the right hand, they take away with the left. Infinion raceway and Burnese alps(or whatever it is called) are no substitution for the sections of amalfi rally they cut to shreads. They have even removed the version of the Le Mans track without the chicanes(why even bother). And as for Hockenheim, It is not as if they made it fresh for f4 is it. There is a bias number of tracks in the US, most of which are coma inducing. Would it be a crime to bin laguna seca, sedona and sebring? I still wish for most of the tracks in the original forza.

Forza has very little these days to offer which GT does not.
