get a new mic. sometimes its a wireing problem that can't be fixed with those things. my friends mic echos when he turns it off and mine echos if its not plugged in all the way. so you might need to get a new mic.

If you or someone in your party has their setting to where voice

chat is coming through the speakers you can get a echo effect.

Make sure everyone in your party has it set to headset only and

see if that helps.

Have you tried with a wireless headset? Just asking because the wired ones seem so cheap and break very easily.

Just as he said, it is sometimes due to the internet connection.

This happened to me once. During the troubleshooting process the friend I was talking with noticed his Chatpad wasn't plugged in all the way so he unplugged it and plugged it back in fully and the echo went away. So if any of the people you were talking to has a Chatpad have them check to be sure it's fully seated in the controller.

meh happened to me with all these fixes tried then one day just randomly stopped, I play with the same friend every day and neither of us changed a thing, so if anything I will also lean towards internet or I'll just blame MS since most of the stuff they make breaks like trash

It happens to me and what i do is i take off the remote, unplug my mic, restart my remote and then plug in the mic and it works fine. You should try it.
