Xbox 360 does not shut off right away

I was wondering if anyone knows why my Xbox 360 is not shutting off right away the green power sign flashes a few times then shuts off is that normal?

No. Call Xbox or go to Xbox.com

Normal, to add more, when the console is too warm it doesn´t shut off until it cools down, sometimes is a few moments, other times even a couple of minutes.

Yeah mine does that too. Sometimes its because the controller charger is still plugged in or because the console is too hot after being played continuously for several hours.
