Yeah I know they are making Quake Wars and I can't wait, its just that I think they could have made Quake 4 alot better than it was. I still think it was an awesome game, but it was choppy and all that stuff, plus if I remember correctly, the ending of Quake 4 hinted to another one coming along but I am not for sure. Oh well atleast they are bringing Quake Wars to the 360!!!
I really liked Quake 4 (I have it on PC, too), and the framerate thing didn't really bother me. I would be pumped if Quake 5 were announced, but I wouldn't preorder it or anything...
I've never played through Quake 4 on either the 360 or pc, but i dl'd the demo on xbl and loved it. Am still a little cautious on whether or not to buy it because of the frame rate issues, but i would still be up for a Quake 5 (loved the all the others!). And ya...........QUAKE WARS COMING FOR 360 NOW!!!
Sad to say, but no... after Doom 3 and Quake 4 failed to impress me, I'm more interested in seeing a new IP. Doom in particular needs to get shelved.
Admittedly, I AM thrilled that they're going back to the Castle Wolfenstein well again. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was probably the last game id made that I thought was really great. I'm probably overlooking something, but I really liked that one. Doom 3 and Quake 4? Not so much... if I ever do get Quake 4, it'll be to get my hands on a console-based copy of Quake 2.
I just think they could have done so much better with Quake 4, instead of rushing it for a launch title.imakillaholic
Yep, it was a shame, I just got Quake 4 for my new PC and its so much better than the 360 verison, graphics and framerate etc, the 360 version was fun but spoiled by framerate issues and poor graphics, shame, hopefully Quake Wars and future Quake games wont have these issues.
