Topic. This concerns me as I still have the 203 watt output block. Can this still happen?

I've never heard of this happening. I'm on my third 360, gut my other two RROD'd way before the major dashboard update.
I think this thread should be stickied to be a longitudinal experiement to see if microsoft actually (sort of) fixed one of their product's problems...(if you play games from hard drive only that is).
So is this really a problem or just something you've heard? I've never heard of this, and it seems kind of silly. I played Lost Odyssey for about 75 hours with whatever disc I was playing on installed without a second thought.
It's not a problem that I know of. I want to know. That's why I made the topic.

Oh. Well it doesn't happen, I can tell you that. If your 360 RRODs then it definitely isn't because you've downloaded your game to your hardrive in order to improve it's performance.

You're missing my point. I just want to know if 360 consoles CAN still RROD while playing a downloaded game. Sure the disc drive isn't spinning the disc as fast. Does that still keep the GPU from overheating?
I mean I think it would be a good study to do because the dashboard update has been out for a good 4 months or so now.
I havent personally had the Rrod but I have had to send my falcon elite for repairs when the disc drive died locking the game inside and refusing to boot up. Though I would assume installing games to the Hard Disc would mean far less wear and tear on many of the components, leading to a longer lifespan if nothing else. IMHO
