Xbox live membership problem!

I have a problem. I activated a Xbox live gold code and it worked. On the site I have a gold membership but in the Xbox i still have the silver one. When I go in my Xbox to see what memberships I have activated I see the 1 month gold one, but it still doesn't work. I can't play multiplayer games because of this! What should I do?

Seems odd that it wouldn't do it. Maybe try the code again?
