Xbox 360 stinks.

as far as the smell , it may be just a smell of new electronic ,

just play for a few days or hrs ,it should go away

I just bought one this morning, and as soon as I opened it up, I noticed a scent coming out of the packaging. After play a couple of hours, my room smells. Is there something wrong at all?

I'm not gonna lie; that's pretty weird. I've not enountered anything like this in the dozen or so Xbox 360s that have been through my home.

Was it A new 360 or A refurbed one?

You probably just got the only Xbox that microsoft packaged with a dead rat inside the case. An rare 1 in a million find. Lucky you!

All of the xboxes smell in the beggining. That you should notice this smell has 3 possible outcomes:

1) the glasses weren't made to play video games in, take them off and sit further away from your TV.

2) you have an enlightened sence of smell (not joke)

3) xbox is put together improperly. Take it back immediatly.

It's a normal stinky smell for 360's.In fact, if the 360 didn't stink when you turned it on, I would be worried.

It's the smell of burning Plastic inside the machine, most likely. Enjoy the 360! That Smell, it's like a countdown.

new electrical components can smell a bit when they warm up for the first time but youd have to be an idiot to not know that smell :P

LOL my cousin calls this Dutch Ovening someone. He's done it in a Gladware tupperware and left it on the counter for his mom to open and smell to see if it was clean....what a horrible child:P
