I'm a long time PS3 user who recently got a 360 so I can play such titles as the Halo and Gears of War series. I am enjoying the 360 so far, but the whole childish feel to the interface is really bothering me. I sort of expected something sophisticated like the PS3. The 360 is a highly advanced peices of machinery that has a whole range of mature and adult games, yet every time I log on I have some child-like looking cartoonish avatar of myself waving at the screen.
The worst part is, I can't find a way to turn it off or hide it either. This is the type of thing I expect from Nintendo. And in fact the avatars do remind me a lot of the Nintendo Mii's. But with the type of games played in Nintendo consoles you expect little cartoony avatars like that.Â
It's not a huge deal, it's still a good console. It's just something that bothers me everytime I turn it on.Â
Is there a way of turning it off/hiding it that I haven't discovered yet?Â
