yeah i am serious, i was talking with a guy I coach soccer with and he is working on the distribution of Halo 3. He was saying how Gamestop already bought 300 more trucks to handle the shipping. This will be the biggest video game launch to date I think.

81 discs a second :O Holy Hell lol. This launch is going to be insane. Im so thankful that my day at school will be quick and easy, 2 classes in which we do nothing, 1 class of notes, 1 class of experiment, and 1 class that is semi-easy

Yea, pre-order is the way to go. I was up at my local gamestop and I asked a friend who works there if Ill be getting Halo 3 that day and I wont have to wait for any shipments and she said that theyre getting enough in that everyone who pre-ordered will have a copy and some lucky hopefuls.

LOL I hear ya with the song in my head and I'm gonna guzzle down a bunch of coffee and red bulls. I'm gonna wait till the weakend to play the campaign, and gather 3 friends.... On the 25th I get home from class at about 8:45. I'm planning on playing the online multiplayer well into wednesday evening.

I just did some basic math on that actually. They would have to make that many a second for the next 3 weeks nonstop if they will have enough to cover preorders and demand when it launches if not then more.

There most definetly will not be a shortage on games, and people that preordered I have to ask why when there are so many stores that are going to be overstocked with it anyway. It is gonna be like the last harry potter where they made soo many that lots got shipped back and people that preordered were pretty upset when they paid an extra five dollars for noconvience. The only reason i c is people that only have one store around. Who could that be????

If you preorder from GS they have a midnight release of Halo 3.

Sorry but the comment about Gamestop buying 300 more trucks to handle shipping is B.S. Gamespot does not handle their own shipping. They rely on third party shipping providers ie. USP, FedEx, DHL, USPS. Ergo they would not buy trucks.

Actually when I went to the midnight launch for the last Harry Potter book they gave me a 30% off deal for all who pre-ordered it.
They are most definitley not printing 81 dps because its not possible. Here's the math... 81 discs*60 secs=4860 discs per min*60 min=291600 discs per hour* 24 hours=6,988,400 per day* 16 days til launch=111,974,400=YOUR WRONG!
Okay, I'm probably wrong though, but I used my calculator and apparently, the amount of copies made every day (if 81 copies are made every second is true) is 6,998,400. That's quite a lot for the next 17 days of waiting.
