Every time I turn on my Xbox and it makes a funny noise or every time it gets slow for a split second when I sign on to Live I'm getting really nervous I might get the RROD. I'm almost afraid to even turn on my Xbox until the 29th.
Kinda strange you should feel this, i try not to worry about it, but the disadvantage to that is that you'd probably be in tears if it happened. I've had mine for 2 years, not 1 RRoD.
nO way man RROD atleast happens in once a year at normal for me it was once in 1.5 years and gone from Jan 08 my console is not giving me single problem. So I am not terrified or anything. If its joke I can say yes but now no way I am dont think that it is to be that much feared that your 360 cant take it for 7 days or anything.
Also thoe who have got it repaired will be in luck since method to reapir have been improved and RROD has got down significantly in atleast last 2 months form before.
ive said this befor i think ppl hoo get the RROD just dont take care of their 360 it aint the systems fault its the owner for not caring for their system, i think the person hoo started this wanted to be able to sue microsoft and failed miserably so therefore this whole RROD thing JUST A SCAM so lighten up ppl and take care of ur systems

Yeah I'm sure 70 percent of people don't take care of there 360's. I'm on my 3rd and I always have cleaned them and kept them in well ventilated areas.

buuuuuut I'm using the towel trick until I can afford a new one.
I'm not terrified at all. I've spent many days this year leaving my xbox on for 12 + hours and its working perfectly. If you've played it crazy a lot and it hasn't rrod then it most likely never will.

funnily enough it has crossed my mind too. i seem to remember a guy posting he got the rrod as soon as he got home after buying halo 3 at the midnight release. it may or may not have been true but, either way, it stuck in my mind and is tormenting me now:evil:

I really hope you were joking with that statement. How come like less than 2% of Wii's and PS3's fail and all these 360's have problems? I take care of my system and I got the RROD, just because you haven't gotten it yet doesn't mean you have to blame the RROD problem on the owner when it's clearly Microsoft's fault.
Not worried all, I've had the 3 red rings 4 times and throughout those difficult times I worked in some overtime and picked me up another console. So now I play on 1 and have another ready just in case.
It does cross my mind when I turn on my Xbox 360. Not so much because I wont be able to play GTA IV, I can buy it and wait. The fact that I will have to wait about 3-4 weeks to get my Xbox 360 back would be the part that would make me pretty impatient. I dont like to wait too long for things to happen.
sad to say it but yes im scared as he**. thats sad that we have to be scared something we payed 400$ for will brake and most of us dont even move it. mine hasnt moved in 5 months.
Eh... not really... I am studying in Mexico so it looks like I have to wait till I return home in mid-May to play it since I purposely left it at home.... At least this way, I don't really have to deal with the urge to play the game...
I dont have to worry about anything cause i have an elite, haha j/k. But serioiusly, I havent had one single problem since ive had my elite, almost a year now.
Very much so. Sucks... I thought my console had RRoD'd last week when i got it back from repair (for DVD drive issue), but since that first alarming blip it has run smooth as.
My 360 has never RROD and its showing no signs of doing so in the next couple of days (knocks wood) but my God if it breaks before I get to play the one game Im actualy excited for... :evil:
