Okay for the past week or so my wireless controller has gone crazy. I have 2 bars of battery left and the controller will start blinking in 2 seperate spots. Sometimes it will even disconnect out of nowhere. I play about 5 feet away from my 360 so the connection should be okay. Why is it doing this? I've also tried resincing it and it still does the same thing.

Your batteries are dying, its like when your cell phone beeps on a low battery you know its low but it still beeps until its dead, your controller is doing the same but it flashes it lights to futher help your batteries die.

I've been getting the same thing lately.. it didn't used to give me that warning until it was down to one bar. It's nothing to worry about. You still have a lot of time to play before you have to change the batteries. I use the rechargable pack /play n' charge combo.. .I recommend you invest in it. It's definitely worth it. You save a ton on batteries in the long run, and you don't have to reset the system to designate a new player one controller. (If you want to change to another controller with a full battery)

The OP is correct. There is something WRONG with some of the wireless controllers now. Mine did the EXACT same thing. After using numerous FULL-CHARGED rechargeables and 3 BRAND NEW pairs of duracells, I became fed up and exchanged my wireless for a wired one. This is no BS. The controller CONSTANTLY kept disconnecting itself and continously flashed the low-battery sequence on the guide button. I've resynced it, and as mentioned before, installed brand new batteries in it. I also tried to "adjust" the battery contact springs, but to no avail. It just kept losing the connection to my 360. By the way, on the guide menu, it DID register the batteries as full charge.

i replace the batteries when my controller starts blinking. even if i have 2 bars left i will replace the batteries. fortunately, i don't use my wireless controller a lot. the wired ones are always reliable and i only use the wireless when i have friends over.

Mine always start going dead at two bars. I rarely even make it two one bar before the controller starts dying.

i bought a new 360 in Jan 08, i recently only started to use the wireless controller that came with the console (had a 360 before, wanted to continue using my older controller until it broke or something)...my new wireless controller doesn't work properly with the rechargable batteries. I've resynced the controller many times, no difference. The rechargable batteries work with my other wireless controllers, but not the newest controller (that came with the console)...the wireless controller only works with AA batteries.

Anyone else having this problem? very weird.

"AA" is the size of the battery. It doesn't indicate whether it's rechargable or not.

I use Rayovac Hybrid rechargables in my controller, and they've been working fine for months. None of mine are very new, though.
