Honestly, I hope it doesn't. I want Halo: Reach to stay top dog just because of how much better I think the Halo series is. Your opinions?
Will you stop playing Reach and play Black Ops multiplayer when it comes out?

I cant stand halo period, its a dated game that uses a horrible aiming system, firing from the hip is so unnatural, i mean this isnt doom... its time to step up the game halo, its time to evolve your combat... and for the record, i hope black ops is amazing but treyarch have yet to prove to me they can make a good cod game.
Well going on the Reach forums at Bungie.net, a lot of the topics are about how bad Reach is compared to Halo 3 and what not. I think there's a lot less people on Reach right now than there was at Halo 3's launch. And CoD destroys everything in it's path, so I think CoD won't really kill Reach, but there will be a lot less players on Reach when BO is out. I for one don't like BO but I speak the truth!

I agree with you, I prefer Halo over COD. Of course it's all about preference.
I already went back to MW2 after getting sick of Reach in like a month, while I've been playing MW2 pretty consistently since it came out so, yeah... Black Ops will definitely kill Reach for me!
word on the street is it isnt even that great, lots of performance issues and crashing as well as camper friendly maps.... so no, i highly doubt it.Roland123_basici agree even if they try to "fix" the camper friendly maps people will still find a way to camp and do other things to run the game
I think it's a little too early for me to speculate. I would have to play BO before I could give my honest opinion, but as it now stands there's no way it's going to kill off Reach. You'll have the Halo and COD fanboys that remain loyal to their franchises, and then you'll have people more like myself who go back and forth between the two based off of what I'm in the mood for. A lot of it for me will also depend on BO's multiplayer set up, maps, and what-not but I don't think Reach will die off, nor if BO would have been released first would I feel that Reach would kill off BO.

It's sad, but true.
Reach is pretty boring now, but thats not gonna send me running to play COD, i mean i rather play two worlds without patches than sit through that hyped up mess.
haha i dont know about two worlds :P i hears that game was terrible but it must be better than CODReach is pretty boring now, but thats not gonna send me running to play COD, i mean i rather play two worlds without patches than sit through that hyped up mess.

No way.
I'm guessing a lot of people will do like me and switch to Black Ops for a month or so.. and then go back to Reach.
Nah it won't, few a weeks it will be less popular but when the maps for Reach are released people will probably start migrating back and forth.
Put it this way there won't be a shortage of players for either games.

Personally, i think it is a difficult question. But i am pretty sure these two games will blow other games out of the water.Well going on the Reach forums at Bungie.net, a lot of the topics are about how bad Reach is compared to Halo 3 and what not. You have to take into account that the number of people who post on the Bungie.net forums make up a very small percentage of the total player base for Reach. Just because there are a few people who are very vocal about their opinions doesn't mean that everyone thinks Reach is a bad game.
As for if Black Ops will "kill" Reach, I would have to say no. Black Ops will surpass Reach at first due to the hype of the game just coming out, but in a couple months the hype will die down and the players who play it more casually will move on to a another game, just like what happened to Reach. What will happen then will be a battle of both games trying to get players attention through new content and stuff like that.

Black Ops will definitely become the more played game for at least a few weeks just because it's new. We'll have to wait and see if that'll remain the case after a month or so, though. Either way, by next year most of Black Ops' player will have moved on to the next Call of Duty while Reach retains a much larger and loyal player population. ANd personally I will continue to play Reach. I will not be playing Black Ops unless I play my brother in law's copy.
I don't really care, I have heard good and bad things about Reach from my friends that play it, butI personally like the way that weapons in COD feel and that is important to me, so I'm gonna stick with it, just not gonna buy one every year, maybe every two, every now and then I might splurge to get the yearly installment, but I doubt it.
for me its not a question of halo vs black ops, its do i want modern warfare 2 or black ops lol, the new cod makes some good changes and some bad, its all cod though, halo cant touch cod on any level, after playing cod 4 i have not really played any other shooters but cod exept for unreal but thats because i am a die hard unreal fan from back in the old pc days, heck i still have goty edition of unreal tournement for pc haha, i love unreal and its a great series butit doesnt live up to cod sadly
