Why, give me one good reason why silver members have to wait!

Why do we have to wait for a week to download new things.

I'm sick of it. How is this going to bring new customers in? If i just got a 360 and created a account i would be pissed that i couldn't download things for a week. It's stupid!

Well the people who pay for the servers(GOLD USERS) get pissed off when the downloads go at SLOW paces because the silver users are leeching off of our money. Understand why they did this?DarkRider23

First off, $50 a year is nothing,just be happy it isn't $50 a month...

Secondly, yea gold gets it earlier because we pay, be glad you get DLC at all without paying for the subscription fee.

Thirdly, reducing the bandwidth any way possible is appreciated, and that means making people that don't pay wait a week. Much better than alphabetizing people by last name and letting the A's download first, then 30 minutes later the B's, then the C's and so on.

I suggest getting a job of some sort, it'll make a week go by much faster and $50 a year very very affordable.

I dont' think gamer's should have to pay a cent for playing and downloading content online. It's rediculous when you buy an expensive console and expensive games and then you have to pay again to play them online or download some extra content. Ok so I can see paying extra for more content but not to just give you the ability to do something that is built into the game in the first place like multiplayer.CaptainCrazy

That's like saying you shouldn't have to pay for gas because car's have a tank built in. They have to maintain the servers, and that costs money.

First, "expensive console"? Microsoft loses money on the cost of the console, so I'd call it cheap.

Second, extra content costs money to make, why should it be free?

Third, just because a game builds in multiplayer doesn't mean that the means to play it doens't cost money (i.e. servers etc.)

Stop your crying, some people just won't be happy unless everything is free..

It doesn't matter if their are more gold members, even if there was only one silver member he still uses up bandwidth so you rationale is ridiculous.

Servers do cost money,andthat is why they charge us, not to mention secutiry matters and keeping all software and all of that up to date. Everything costs money, welcome to the real world.

And our gold star treatment is that we are able to have online multiplayer, I have no problem pay $50 a year for that. They could charge us $1 for every 30 min we play online, or something worse. I'm happy with the cost

Besides, don't think of it like "Silver memebers get the content late." Think of it like "You pay for Gold, you get early access." Silver users don't get it late, Gold users get it early :P But whatever, I'm a Gold user so this really doesn't apply to me. Why the hell am I here?

Why would he be kidding? Microsoft does lose money on every 360 sold. So does Sony on every PS3. The only company that makes money on hardware is Nintendo. Microsoft and Sony make the money back on 1st party games, 3rd party gaming rights and accessories. It's been common knowledge now for a while.

It's simple, gold members are actual consumers where MS turns a profit, where silver members are leaches. As a gold subscriber I think we should have more benefits then the "freebiers" and we should be treated basicaly as VIPs where silver members should be the ones waiting in line.

I think MS making silver members wait a week is a good start in what is hopefully to be more exclusive features to gold members beyond just online gaming.

Agreed - Xbox 360 is not a Xbox 360 without the Gold Account. You have to take full advantage of the 360
