Why can you only have 100 friends on XBL?

So I got my 360 last week and I've been trying to add all my friends and well... one of my friends list was full and I called him to see what's up and he says you can only have 100 friends... I was wondering "Why are we paying $50 and we can only have 100 friends?"

btw if this is coming off as an anti-360 post it's not, I'm just kind of aggravated

I suppose they don't think it's socially (and possibly humanly)possible to actually be in consistent contact with more than one hundred people.

I think fifty friends is enough, yet maybe I'm just a loser with fifty friends. :)

Lol my friends list has 101. I didn't even notice until someone told me they couldn't add me. Then i checked and it said 101. weird but w/e

as for having more friends, i only actually play with about 10-20 people on my friends list anyway. some others only once in a while. 100 is enough. or should i say 101.

Why do you NEED 100 friends man?

I mean, I'm not trying to come off as some geek sitting in a dark corner with no friends, but I have around 60 on my list, and 30+ of them are people I barely remember...And if I do remember them, it's only by screenname, not familiarity.

Becuase friends don't let friends drive drunk....

100 friends should be enough. You only add people you play regulary with. I think I have about 25 on my list, and that's a good number.

back on topic tho.. 100 should be plenty for your gaming needs...unless u ask everyone u see to be ur friend

100 friends is good enough to game with. They're not all goin to be on at the same time and you can only get so many of them in a match so anymore then that you'll be switching in and out of 5 different matches to keep up with all of them, It's too hectic.

I have around 28-30 and i just got my 360 not too long ago.. like maybe a week or something.

More friends = more opportunities to play with someone you talk to on the game you want... With 30 friends I can NEVER get a custom game of Halo 3... And most of my friends are from Halo 3.

because that would cost space and that would cost money and we ONLY pay $50 a month sooo
