Actually, people who played the leaked game said the story was really good. However, they Are Jtaggers, so I can't really take there opinion that seriously.

I just hope they actually explain some things this time around...

[spoiler] Marcus and friends encountered the sires, yet they never speak about it to commant. Same with the Lambent. It wasn't that the story was "bad", it's just that they didn't do more with what they have. [/spoiler]

Depends... I can see it going both ways. The standard American ending where nearly everyone survived and Marcus stands on top of a hill or something cliché like that.

Or, nearly everyone gets killed off. I heard it was a story about humans being on the verge of certain annihilation. It would be kinda lame if they came back from that... but I'll think it'll be the typical ending.
