I personally think The Last Remnant will be the best. I don't like Fable 2 too much. I'm a JRPG fan. Now if Square Enix can make another MMORPG... :roll:
I have Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey, and they are both great games. I am confident Fable 2 will be a fun game as well, since I enjoy the first one. I can also say that, I am pretty sure Infinite Undiscovery won't take first place, simply because I've heard a lot about the game having poor team member AI. But really though, it's no contest.
Does Fallout 3 not count as an RPG? 'Cause that's what I'd vote for.73X
I still says it's a shooter. I mean, you don't call Elder Scrolls IV a shooter because it's obviously more RPG-oriented than simply first-person, and you wouldn't call Fallout an RPG when it's a shooter with RPG elements.
Even though I don't think I'll enjoy it as much as Fable 2 (not a huge RPG fan), I think Fallout 3 will be the best RPG this year. I can't believe the TC didn't put it on the list! Fallout 3 has really peaked my interest though.

It's really more of an RPG than the original Fable (probably more so than the second one as well, this is coming from a massive fan of Fable btw). It really isn't a shooter. It has more interesting role playing choices and the character leveling is more extensive.

You don't have to have fantasy aspects to be an RPG... RPG = Role Playing Game. Nothing to do with fantasy. Also BioWare's RPGs too short? :P you have obviously not play Baldur's Gate. An RPG is a game where you get to play a different role, not where you get swords and magic. Or did you know all of this and are just being a strange form of elitist?

Wow. They only displayed the shooting elements in videos but if you see one video they show that you can decide to save or blow a city up. You don't call that an RPG? Heck, if you murder someone in the game people will start hating you. There is also a leveling system where you can get perks. You don't call that an RPG? Fallout 3 All the Way!
Yay, another vote for Fallout 3. But on a serious note as well, I know I said Fallout 3 but like someone said before, I would have to play it first. But I PREDICT that it will be RPG of the Year.
After reading the glaring review for Fallout 3 in OXM im gonna have to go with it being RPG of the year, which i already expected before reading the review due to the company whos making the game.
Chalk up another write in for Fallout 3. I don't see how it's any less of an RPG than any of those listed. You create a character from scratch, explore a huge open world, complete quests for XP and rewards, can be good or evil, etc. That makes it an RPG in my book.

Hopefully The Last Remnant. Of course I want Fallout 3 to be completely awesome and it looks like it will be, but it would be even better if The Last Remnant topped it. Fable 2 and Tales of Vesperia are fun too from the little I've played of them.
Technically... is Fable 2 even an RPG? or is it an adventure game?

it's more like a zelda game. which any true gamer knows aren't RPG's.
Lost Oddysey should get it. as it's the truest expression of an RPG. and in my opinion. the best i've played since FFX.
Now, I did just say THE BEST I'VE PLAYED. so it's still just my opinion based on what i've actually played at the moment. Though I am looking forward to playing the last remnant, Fable 2 and Fallout 3. so happy days.
Fable 2 without a doubt. Its unique. A lot of RPG's dont have many consequences of your actions whereas if you are bad in fable 2 the world around you becomes slums with protitutes roaming the streets. If you are good its a thrithing joyful place. For a good next gen RPG you must be treated differently by AI and make choices that impact the world and the story, and be able to fully customise your character and live its life. You can even have a family and a loyal hound that will love you nomatter what.
