*my votes aren't the greatest as i've not played a lot this year. don't realy know what to put for campaign, as i don't want to put cod4 in all 3 ;)

it's gonna be a hard choice...

i havent played much of mass effect due to school constraints, but little i have seems very promising. CoD4, well everyone knows how addictive the MP is and the campaign was a blast while it lasted. It's a high contender.

Halo 3 has the popularity, although i haven't played it, so i cant make any judgements about it.

Bioshock was one of the most impressive FPS shooters I have played since HL2 came out Nov of 2004. I have yet to play through it a second time and I am getting very anxious to do so when i get time.

The orange box has it all... MP, great single player, and yes portal. Everyone loves portal. However, I feel that this still won't make GOTY due to the fact that it has 5 different games in one. I dunno, something about it just says its not gonna earn the label of GOTY. Don't get me wrong, I love the contents (i play on pc).

I havent played assassin's creed yet... so i can't say.

My GOTY as of right now is Bioshock. CoD4 is at a very close 2nd. Can't say about mass effect cuz i havent beaten it yet :)

Dude, i dont see the hype for COD4; its good but its nothing new. Mass effect is totally different from ay other games on the market, how are you saying that its the same old thing?

Face it, there were just to many great games this year to name just one. Bioshock isn't even close in my opinion.

Mass Effect or Bioshock.

Orange Box doesnt deserve to win because its a rerelease of a fairly old game. Halo 3 doesn't just because it was just another Halo, which is neither good nor bad. And CoD4 doesn't deserve to win because its single player wasn't that great and the online wasn't exactly revolutionary. It was a basic modern shooter with a few half fleshed out new ideas and pretty graphics. Its not bad just not good enough to deserve GOTY.

It's gotta be Call of Duty 4. Short, but fun campaign. Plus, if you boost the difficulty, then you'll have a real challenge. And then, thr multiplayer. CoD4's MP OWNS Halo 3's. Does Halo 3 have all the options you can do with CoD4? No. It may have the map editor, but the replay value of CoD4's is wayyyy higher than Halo 3's. Halo 3 sucks.

So CoD4 wins GotY for me, then Bioshock, and possibly Mass Effect comes in 3rd.
