It's true, burn-in is also possible on an LCD TV, and it's not just if the game is paused for a very long time. Consider if you're playing an FPS, you're got your arm/gun in front of you the entire time, and there's a chance you'll burn that image into your screen for when you want to watch other stuff.I know this is a little off topic but is it true if you buy a Lcd TV and play your xbox on it will it burn out the color or not last as long. Or can the game freeze.

actually lcd is the best (for gaming)had mine since 360 came out and hasnt burnt out or anything yet
70 percent of 360 owners play on an SDTV. I use a 37 inch JVC SDTV. No motion blur, no screen burn in, no burnt out pixels, no bulb replacement, no horrible looking SD channel. When they fix all of these problems and HDTV's are perfect like my SDTV I will get one. I have 4785 in my HDTV fund and the tv companies wont see any of it until they make an HDTV worth the money.
Peace.

It happens primarily in plasma tvs. What happens is the phosphor compounds that emit the light lose their luminousity after time, so when a certain area is used more than others (ie. a pause menu) a permanent ghost-like image occures. And thats weak-sause.
I use a 19'' CRT
