I usually play as a one-handed sword and shield person with heavy armor. Love sneaking with my bow for the extra damage. Lockpicking was enjoyable in Oblivion, not sure what it is going to be in Skyrim. Really don't care for magic, might cast it once in a while to try and get more spells.

Battle-Mage (Weapon/Spell) or Ranger-Mage (Bow or Short-sword/Spell) is usually the avenue I take. If I'm a battle-mage then heavy armor, if I'm a Ranger then light.

I'll likely have a second character as a Full Magic-User soon enough.

I always make my first playthrough a Warrior with Heavy Armor as they seem to be the easiest to get used to the game with. Then it'll be a ranger. 8D

My first playthough I will take the stealth approach with a bow mainly and a short-sword for close encounters. My main on Oblivion was a stealth character with 100+ hours just on that char. :) God I can not wait, took off work for this game. 11.11.11!

I usually don't like magic in games but Skyrim's dual wielding spell mechanic looks to good to pass up, I'm going to play as a full on magic user.

Heavy armor wielding warrior using a sword and shield preferably however I don't mind using a 2h either. Zero magic ability.

Now that magic actually seems useful I can finally play as an effective Battlemage which I haven't been able to do in Morrowind or Oblivion.

I will be a stealthy Nord with a giant red beard, and have a mastery of bow with dual swords. My mind may change about which play-style I choose, but the beard IS A NECESSITY.

I haven't put much thought into yet, I usually just decide on my character when I'm creating him. I usually end up making multiple files with different characters anyway.

I never thought about it to be honest.. I'll probly start the game with a typical Sword and Shield approach, but once I understand it more i'll end up going Mage.

Firstly if two handed weapon combat is better than oblivion. I'll go a 2handed weapon warrior with light or heavy armor. Then a without a doubt a stealthy character as it's going to be awesome for assassinations and stealth.

I like to keep it balanced, and use a mixture of combat styles (archery, magic and melee). I do however, prefer archery over the rest and will probably be using that combat style the most. It's hard to say though, since the game hasn't came out yet. But I'm definitely looking forward to dual-welding weapons. I do have to say this, and I hope you guys will come to the same conclusion, and that is the hope that there won't be a duplication glitch. Now, I got oblivion in 2009 (3 years after its release) and the duplication glitch was well known at the time (I have no idea when it was discovered). But I gotta say, that glitch really ruined the experience I had with the game. Now don't get me wrong, the game was amazing... and yeah I had the choice to not use it but I couldn't resist. I was desperate to unlock the high magic spells, and other abilities. Not to mention you never were short of money... I just really hope I can get by enjoying this game without any glitches interfering. Does anyone feel the same way?

I tend to play as a rogue. I like sneak attacks. I'll probably play the same way for Skyrim.

Orc or Argonian warrior with duel wield swords (long is possible). Armor is something I'm not sure about yet.

Playing a battle mage to me is like playing a jedi knight so I'll go with that first with heavy armor and some hood. Then I'll play a stealth/sniper with a bow and dagger for close range.

Similar to how you like to play I normally just run around in heavy armor with a powerful one handed sword and shield and never really sneak or use magic and rarely ever use bows and try to lock pick everything I can.
