they want to wait until the metacritic score is finished so they can make their rating the same as the metacritic score so as to make themselves appear to be competent gamecritics and reviewers.

Totally this, or the fact that maybe the reviewer disliked the game, but since gamer community might be enjoying (s)he might getting some time to pull out something to make people stop rating GS and it's bullcrap reviews.
i'm willing to bet its 6.5-7.5. I'm still going to get it though--once the price comes down. It looks like an old school rpg without all the dumbing down yet that reviewers seem to like so much.
when they bundle a game with a "free beta invite" or "early demo access" to another game, that should be enough to let you know the game sucks and their just trying to sell the game any way they can.
I was extraordinarily unhappy with that game. Very disappointed. Horrendous graphics, generic setting, mediocre voice acting, cliche and derivitive story, a ridiculous "fast travel" feature (aka you have to run around every single trail repeatedly unless you want to pay thousands upon thousands of gold to keep buying the stupid stones to place on the ground), and a clunky combat system. The only thing slightly positive about the game was the pawn system, it was interesting.
There. There's your review.
