I install everygame when i first get it and delete it when I'm done with it. I do this because the console runs more quitely and doesn't heat up as much, not sure if it has improved load times much as I haven't tested.
I currently have Dead Space, PES 2009, Gears 2 and Cod:WaW installed.
I have a question how do install them on your hard drive never done that and second whats the advantage of doing so could i borrow a game install it then give it back and and not need to buy it ?kramer_incyeah i was thinking the same thing but then again if that was true im sure we would have heard more about it before
Currently: Left4Dead and Mirror's Edge
I am mulling around with the idea of getting a bigger HDD because intall/unistall is getting annoying. With a 20gb (14gb) I can only have 2 games installed at a time.... but i don't want to buy the overpriced HDDs
I seriously think that Microsoft needs to devolop a thing where you can just play the game taht is on your hard drive. thedudeman69Yeah but then people will stop buying games. They'll just pass em around to all their friends and let them do it too. Not to mention that you could rent a game and just download it. Game companies would never do something like that. It'd be too awesome lol.
NHL 09 - not much of a difference running off the disc
Oblivion - a lot quieter (xbox), loads a shortly cut down
Spiderman:WoS - incredible...load times are non-existent
Starwars:TFU - Loads are a tad quicker
Mass Effect - loads are a lot quicker
pretty much, the biggest difference i notice is loading... don't really see any advantages in terms of fixing game lag
Far Cry 2 as I heard that it stopped the game-killing glitch from appearing. No it does not delete your saved games thankfully.
This may be a stupid question but when you delete a game off the hard drive does it delete the game saves as well?. Also, can you see how much space a game will take up before installing it? My puny 20GB requires some pretty tight space management
Thanks-INKling-
I have Mass Effect, Fall Out 3 and Fable 2 on mine. I only use the feature on big and potentially laggy games. The tend to run a bit more smoothly when installed, instead of running it straight from the disc. it's not a drastic change but after playing through Mass Effect six times. I can see the difference.Shika_Stoneralmost every game I bought.
