What game(s) did you buy that you thought would be good but actually sucked?

Mine would be: UT3, Just Cause, Dead Rising, COD4, Gears2 and Midnight Club LA

I bought Mass Effect a few days ago, and i only played for like 30 minutes and i was bored out my mind.

Going to give it another go here in a few. ;)

Maybe cuz the graphics are slightly outdated?

Is it jsut me or are the sounds terrible?

Gears 2. Decent SP, but it had an utterly broken MP that nearly made my head explode

Im the same Mass Effect was horrible in my opinion I gave it about 3 hours and didnt really find it fun :?

I would say definately Gears 2 and maybe Wolfenstein the multiplayer is a bit broken right now

None although Oblivion was disappointing.

Why would the graphics make the game any less fun? As for the sounds I thought they were good but I never paid a lot of attention to them. Also it's an RPG they tend to start out slow the Citadel part was eh but after that it really picked up.

Definitely FarCry 2.Sold it to a friend a day after i bought it.And i don't know why theres all the hate for Gears 2.I enjoyed it alot(No im not a fan boy.),even the multiplayer(Once the patch was released).If you didn't like it simply because the bugs in multiplayer at first so you just gave up on it,give it another go and youll see it's much better.xxxCr00k3dxxx

Call of Duty 4 and Fallout 3, off the top of my head.

I just can't see how people think CoD4 is so great, I mean, I try to get into it but the multi-player is horribly unbalanced. No fun at all. Really was expecting more.

I made the fatal mistake of buying dead rising when it was only $20, that piece of s*** wasn't even worth spending $2 on. I smashed the game to pieces later on.

Oh and Guitar Hero World Tour sucked badly too, what a waste of money.

i hate how people think that just because Gears 2 has lag they think the whole game overall sucks :roll:...

Assassin's Creed. I blame Gamespot :(

Asassins Creed, Prey, Quake 4, luckily I got them when they were really cheap used but still a bit of a let down.

It's been a long, long time since I've been really dissappointed by a game. I go to this website, called GameSpot. It's got reviews, previews, gameplay movies, and forums where you can check out a game before you buy it.

Left 4 Dead. It got boring really fast.

All I can think of is Far Cry 2. I like the game, but it's time-consuming and this was in the winter when I had a lot of free time.

Fallout 3. Can't abide that game at all. Gave it another go recently and it was still just as annoying.

Assassins creed got repeptitive pretty quickly as well but I still managed to stick it out till the end enough for them to have snared me in to wanting to play the next one.

I hope that make it clearer when you've finished this time though. Half an hour I was, looking round that room trying to work out where I was supposed to go next!!!
