Why do you say the Elder Scrolls V isn't coming out in 2010? Everything points to it coming out late fall/early winter 2010....the two novels, the marketing hires at Bethesda, the trademark activity , etc., etc.Mass Effect 2 and Halo Reach. The Elder Scrolls V is not gonna come out next year btw.

No, not 'everything' points to it being released in that couple month window of yours. In fact, considering we know absolutely nothing about anything, I'd say anybody who says that the game will or will not be released at 'x' time is just guessing out their donkey.
Anyways, my biggest game of 2010 is most definitely Final Fantasy XIII.
I'll go with my Top 13 games(coming to 360. Won't include Sony's exclusives for PS3 or PSP)

They've denied the existence of games one day and announced them the next. All available evidence points towards a late fall/early winter 2010 release of The Elder Scrolls V.

All evidence except Todd Howard saying, "don't look for a new Elder Scrolls game in the near future". Although, Paul Oughton did indicate a 2010 release window last year.

Howard was also referring to an Elder Scrolls MMO (that was the question).Phoenix534

The fact that Bethesda are secretive just tells me that guessing the release date of a game thats not even announced yet is even MORE of a blind guess than I thought it was, obviously.
The evidence points to nothing so far.

Well Todd Howard's team has been doing Fallout DLC for the first half of 2009 so they wouldn't have time to make a new Elder Scrolls. The time between Oblivion and Fallout 3 was over two and a half years and they still used a lot of the same architecture.
A lot of the "Elder Scrolls V in 2010" buzz came from a comment by one of Todd's team that it COULD be out in 2010, but they've since said it's not coming soon.
I wish though...

One executive outright said 2010 for the next Elder Scrolls game. The two Elder Scrolls novels only make sense if there is an upcoming game (they are marketing tools used by many gaming companies). Also, inside early reviewer copies of the first novel it said "....It partly bridges the gap for the next game which is set 200 years after the Oblivion crisis". Pretty strange for a book publisher to talk about an 'upcoming game' in reviewer copies of a novel. The evidence points to nothing so far.

You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see the Elder Scrolls V is coming out late 2010.

Show me the quotes that 'point' towards 2010, and show me the quote where one said 2010 officially. And the novels may point to an 'upcoming' release, but to pinpoint 'upcoming' into a couple-month-window is a bit too sure-sighted to be reasonable.
You are simply prematurely jumping to conclusions. How do you not realize that?

The time between Oblivion and Fallout 3 was over two and a half years and they still used a lot of the same architecture. They have two development teams at Bethesda. Todd Howard had developed two games at once in the past (Oblivion and Fallout 3 overlapped) with fewer people. Based on past interviews and learning of their development teams history we can deduce that there was a small team working on pre-production of ES V immediately after ES IV. That means pre-production for ES V likely starting in summer of 2007 which makes 2010 very realistic.A lot of the "Elder Scrolls V in 2010" buzz came from a comment by one of Todd's team that it COULD be out in 2010, but they've since said it's not coming soon.

I'm going to have to extend this list to twenty.

Dude, I'm not denying that ES:V is on the way. But you are pegging the release date down to a couple month window, and you simply are guessing out your donkey in that regard. The fact that a developer would say a specific year(not a time of year) a couple years ago means nothing. So many developers delay/exaggerate/wishful think or are over-optimistic about the release of their new game.
You're guessing and thats the bottom line. The fact that you think you know what the release date is, is just plain naivety. BOTTOM LINE. At least have the decency to say, "I'm *guessing* that the game will come out late this year". By your comments, you pass it off as if its a fact, and its not. Not even close.
