Update keeps failing, won't let me use xbox 360...any help?

Ok so this xbox had red rings and i just bought a new one because the warranty was up. Then i fixed the red rings and when i tried to connect to the internet, it required an update, and i did not think much of it at the time. however it failed to update and i keep getting a message

"Can't update your console. Please visit www.xbox.com/support.

Status Code:3143-335A-B380-0402-C005-3002"

the problem is, xbox.com has no record of this status code...so i have no idea how to solve it, i've been googling and i cant find anything about this status code. it wont let me bypass the update so i can play games offline. does anyone have any information on this problem?

no i havent. i should look into that i guess. would you happen to know what the status code means?

Maybe you have one of the consoles that can't have the update. They sad not all Xbox's will be able to work with the new update. Call Xbox, they are suppose to give you a console if you fall under that category.Warablo13

what update i was playing 360 today there was no update !

it wasnt a recent update, this particular xbox was inactive for a while lol. i was too busy to look into the red rings thing and i finally fixed it months after it broke, so thats probably why it needed to be updated
