The Official Assassin's Creed Thread - *ALL discussion here please*

Well, the reviews are out which means this board needs a stickied thread for Assassin's Creed discussion.

I will start off the discussion, this game looks amazing! My copy has been dispatched and I should have it for release day here in the UK (Friday). I have always been excited for this game and it looks like its been for good reason according to most reviews.

Thank you Gamespot, you've done it again! Forget all those all reviews, Gamespot hit it on the nose! This just put the iceing on the cake to me buying this game.

i really can't wait to play this going by the gamespot review GOTY anyone? i really cant wait for this one of a kind action thriller game :)

l'll have to wait until my birthday (December 29th) for this, been saving up for Mass Effect collectors edition and that has my priority.

Aww dude...This sucks. Today after I got home from school I dropped by my local Blockbuster GameRush to check to see how things were going on my Assassin's Creed pre-order, but guess what they told me about when they're getting it?

They didn't have it today (not surprised at all about this).

They won't have it Wednesday

They won't have it Thursday

And because of that, they're not getting it in their store till...Friday! But at least I'm not completely out of hope since the guy there said that if they get it earlier than Friday, that they would call me immediately to come pick it up. But wasn't Assassin's Creed "supposed" to be in stores this Wednesday like all the ads say?

They most certainly better not do this when Mass Effect comes out, despite the fact that they expect it on the 20th, I'm still worried they're not getting it till something like say, the 23rd or 24th when Thanksgiving Break will be more than halfway over for me before back to school again. *sigh*

and i only said 2nd to keep my place i was going to edit an put ^^^^ there stupid gamespot :@wii60own

That is no excuse. How are any of us mods meant to know that, you could of at least stated quickly that was what you were doing. Not that it matters anyway.

Haha I had my doubts at first too but this 9.0 from GS convinced me to get it :D

How is the game? If it is anything like Prince of Persia, I will probably like it :).

I have a question for those of you who actually have and played the game. Do you actually move with the buttons instead of the left stick like I've heard?nelfer320

I havent played it, but you do move wit hthe analog stick. Hold thert and move the stick forward to run, hold rt and a and move the stick to sprint

I must admit - with such a large amount of conflicting reviews, this is the first time I'm actually scared to spend $60 on a game (not that I'm cheap, but I hate throwing away money). But, in the end, I'll probably end up buying it since this game looks so refreshing and original.

Ive played the game most the day today at my friends and at first i was saying it was a 7 or 7.5 game. but after a few more hours i have to bump that up to a 8.0

Not a perfect gaem by any means.

The Positives = graphics, sound (which is amazing), atmospheren and setting

Negatives = combat gets very repetative, the controls could have been better and the story isnt very good at all

thsoe are jus tmy opinions after about 5 hours with it.

So when does this game actually come out? I live in Canada, so i doubt it makes a difference but GS says the 13th, the trailers say the 15th, and other sites say the 14th.... which one is it?:?

the game comes out tomorrow and the timing could not be better, after 3 weeks without a 360 i finally get it back tomorrowbin-hiding

Was this cuz of the Red Ring o' Death? I just got that and i couldnt be more upset cuz I've been looking forward to Assassin's Creed since the original teaser at E3 a few years back...:(

No, not everybody gave it 7.7 or less. My understandingis that most people gave an 8 or higher.

I feel likean idiot because I never checked OTHER sources because I THOUGHT gamespot was accurate.

For MONTHS they had the release date on November 13. I went to Best Buy, Target, and Wal-mart and none of them had it because it's not released until tomorrow????

Why the crap did Gamespot put for so long the wrong date? It was a waste of time driving over to find it's not out.

Anyone know why?

Based on the first level, this game is a lot like Tenchu only improved. If you played the last Tenchu game and wished it could be a bit better, here it is. I'm enjoying it, but it is no epic game, at least not yet.zaphod_b
